Setting aside a default judgment

If you have been convicted in your absence following a traffic ticket, it can have immediate consequences: loss of demerit points, license suspension, fines, or loss of the right to contest the infraction. Fortunately, the law allows you, in certain cases, to request a setting aside of the judgment, in order to cancel the conviction and regain control over your case.

This request must be filed within a strict 15-day period from the moment you become aware of the judgment. The sooner you act, the better your chances of reopening your file and asserting your rights.

At CSG Avocats, we understand how stressful this type of situation can be. You are probably asking yourself: Is it too late? Can I get my license back? Can I still contest the infraction? That’s why we intervene quickly and comprehensively: we explain your rights, check your eligibility, and launch the necessary proceedings as soon as possible.

Our role? To obtain the cancellation of the default judgment and allow you to defend yourself fairly.
