This class action seeks to compensate individuals who were detained for more than 24 hours without appearing before a judge, on days when the courts were closed, in violation of the Canadian Charter. The individuals concerned are those who were arrested and held in detention in Quebec after June 19, 2015, for more than 24 consecutive hours without appearing before a judge while the courts were closed.

Tixador : Rights of accused persons awaiting trial
This class action seeks to compensate individuals awaiting trial who were detained with convicted persons, in violation of the Quebec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms. If you have been detained in Quebec while awaiting your trial since February 19, 2021, in a detention facility without being separated from convicted detainees, you may be entitled to compensation.

Picard : Imprisonment of homeless individuals for non-payment of fines
This class action was filed to compensate homeless individuals who were imprisoned due to the non-payment of a fine issued by the City of Gatineau, or who were subject to such a warrant for non-payment of a fine from the same City. If this is your case since June 5, 2020, and you did not have a fixed address, you may be entitled to compensation.
